Valtellina is rich in biodiversity and diverse in terms of geology, morphology and environment. Crops and cattle thrive here thanks to an exceptional microclimate.
Cattle find nourishment in corn fields and permanent meadows, and during the summer also in alpine pastures. These are key elements to produce high quality milk.
WHEN MILK STILL TASTES OF MILK
Milk transfers everything to yogurt and cheese: the flavours of its territory, the scents of herbs and flowers of its pastures, characteristics of local cow species - such as the Bruna Alpina – and the manual skills of shepherds and cheese makers. That's why dairy products of Valtellina taste better, are more complex and more interesting.
OUR FRESH CHEESES
Cheeses made from whole milk, organic or goat milk. Their scent is reminiscent of mountain flowers. They respect and add value to Valtellina, a land they are deeply connected to, as the milk used to produce them comes from this valley.
