Our short, transparent and controlled supply chain allows us to intervene promptly in the event of non-compliance, ensuring constant monitoring throughout the entire supply chain.
Another crucial aspect is the care of social balance. Latteria di Chiuro invests in the development and qualification of human resources, and our attention to rights and inclusion takes concrete shape in a working environment that values equal opportunities. We promote an inclusive and participatory culture that does not preclude anyone from opportunities for professional growth. Protecting the health and safety of all people working at Latteria di Chiuro’s sites is a non-negotiable principle for us and is reflected in continuous activities aimed at identifying and minimising risks.
The promotion of the territory is expressed through support for local organisations that work to integrate disadvantaged people into the labour market. Among our principles is the creation of synergies with those who believe in the importance of investing in quality, the territory, short supply chains, social responsibility and a relationship of trust with consumers. For years, projects dedicated to local schools have been conceived, developed and implemented, such as the Latte di Natale drawing competition and the Latteriadi. Other initiatives, including Buongiorno a Tavola, Il Gusto della Natura and InMoWimento, raise awareness among young people about the importance of sustainable nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Health and prevention are issues of such importance to us that they are reflected in various institutional initiatives: for example, Latte del Dono in collaboration with AIDO and ADMO, Yogurt del Dono with AVIS, and, together with ATS della Montagna, all the initiatives of Pink October, the month dedicated to awareness and prevention in the fight against breast cancer.
Latteria di Chiuro is also actively committed to combating food waste. The collection of raw materials from local farms and our short supply chain help to prevent waste. Production waste remains at a physiological level, with quantities that are not significant compared to total output. Our fight against food waste has also taken concrete form through collaboration with the social canteen Immensa in Sondrio, which, as part of a network of charitable organisations, helps us distribute any surplus to those who need it most.
