Latteria di Chiuro received three prestigious awards at the 119th Mostra del Bitto, which concluded on Sunday, October 18, with the award ceremony held in Piazza Sant'Antonio in Morbegno.
The highlight of this year's edition was our Valtellina Casera PDO, which won first prize in the category of cheeses aged 180 days or more and second prize in the category of cheeses aged 70 days or more.
Adding to these achievements was the prestigious Premio Speciale Roberta Lodi, awarded to the highest-scoring cheese among all those entered in the competition: our Valtellina Casera PDO aged 180 days or more, which achieved a score of 85.74 points.
"These awards are a source of great satisfaction and recognise the daily efforts of everyone who contributes to the quality of our cheeses. The Mostra del Bitto is an important opportunity to showcase the region's cheesemaking traditions and the strong connection between these products and Valtellina," commented Franco Marantelli Colombin, President of Latteria di Chiuro.
