Fresh, sweet and with a floral aroma, Latteria Chiuro cheese is as genuine and good as the milk it comes from. Since the early 19th century in Valtellina, cooperative dairies involved members in turn in the processing of dairy products. A simple and nourishing cheese, delicious on its own yet versatile in the kitchen. Latteria Chiuro is the heir to these “everyday” cheeses: ideal at the end of a meal, as a snack or light bite with rye bread. Carefully crafted in our dairy according to the highest standards of quality and food safety, it is aged for at least 50 days to achieve a compact paste and brings to the table a fresh flavour with floral aromas and notes of dried fruit. As ageing progresses, the paste changes from white to straw-yellow and the flavour becomes more pronounced.
